I am missing her terribly today and when I miss her I always go to your fb, blogs, pictures etc to feel closer to you, and to her (and see what you are up to, of course!!).

What a nice post to come across.

My favourite line 'My mother was no queen, but she was a good mother' Made me smile.

You should update this far more often it is so enjoyable to read :) Just as I should tune in to read it more often. Taken any roller coaster rides lately? I know your Mother would be greatly excited and pleased for you as well!

Your Mother was such a special person with a huge heart and she also encouraged and helped me a lot over the years. I still want to call her or email her with my latest pictures - but then I think, she's probably looking down from Heaven and smiling and giving the old thumbs up!

I am really glad she was in my life and I too will continue to "try new things"!I and L at the Lakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14351934195739168898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1138445855079061540.post-8372710392813327382012-06-20T19:09:58.824-07:002012-06-20T19:09:58.824-07:00Since there are two different subject here, I have...Since there are two different subject here, I have two different comments!

1. I am so happy that you are having a warm reception in Montreal! I have only visited there once but I really enjoyed it. We got around pretty good thanks to our guide (Heather's mother) and even out to the Eastern Townships. I knew you would kill it there, they love friendly people!

2. Your final experiences with your mother echo mine with my mother a great deal, particularly the part about being a friend and real person. There's not a week that goes by that I don't rue the fact that she never met my wife, or seen what's happened to me since then (20 years ago this year, in fact).

Never stop trying new things, even if they might seem a little scary. Keeps one young, in my opinion.chas_mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10365057094888352212noreply@blogger.com
